Ordering

These terms and conditions apply to all work carried out by translatorus.com for its customers.

All translation requests must be accompanied by an order including the price agreed between the parties. This order must be sent to us by website, post, email or fax; we reserve the right to refuse to start an assignment without the order having been paid.

The technical documents must be accompanied by reference documents supplied by the customer and/or drawings or diagrams to enable these documents to be better understood.

The cost of a translation is calculated on the basis of a number of words or pages in the source language, unless otherwise agreed in writing beforehand.

translatorus.com is not responsible for translations that are not stylistically satisfactory. In particular, translatorus.com's services are limited to the translation of advertising and promotional material, unless expressly requested. translatorus.com is not responsible for the editing of the translated text, e.g. in an advertising style that differs from the source text. Our liability is limited exclusively to the translation of the source text.

Complaints will only be considered if they are received by email within seven days of delivery of the work or part of the work. All complaints must be accompanied by the original documents, the disputed translations and an explanatory email. After this deadline, the translation will be considered correct.

translatorus.com cannot be held responsible for delays caused by malfunctions of faxes, modems, e-mails and/or other couriers or carriers not directly controlled by translatorus.com.

In the event of late delivery, where the delay is greater than one third of the scheduled delivery time and if the delay is directly and exclusively attributable to UnTraducteur.com, a refund will be made, to be agreed between the parties, of up to 100 % of the work delivered late.

Defects in any part of the translation shall not, for any reason whatsoever, justify calling into question the entire translation. In this case, UnTraducteur.com reserves the right to make changes to the translation.

Only written agreements between the parties will be taken into consideration. The Paris court has jurisdiction over all disputes.

Directory and Registrations

Anyone with the professional skills to translate or interpret from one language to another can register free of charge in the Directory. Once registered, the user will be provided with an account. This account will allow them to modify their information if necessary. UnTraducteur.com reserves the right to temporarily suspend or permanently delete a profile suspected of fraud, impersonation or any other cause for suspicion.

UnTraducteur.com shall under no circumstances be held responsible for any disputes that may arise between the customer and the registered translator with whom the customer may have been in contact for the provision of services or otherwise. Any person registering as a translator on our list will be responsible for the means of payment, delivery of services, etc. that they offer to their clients. UnTraducteur.com cannot be held responsible for any dispute between the client/visitor and the registered translator. UnTraducteur.com reserves the right to remove any person from the list of translators for reasons of suspicion or complaints against the person registered.

By accepting these General Terms and Conditions of Sale, the person who subscribes to our list of translators agrees to publicly display the necessary information about him/her to enable visitors/customers to contact him/her, namely: Photo, Fixed Telephone Number/Mobile Telephone Number, E-mail address, Department of Residence, Skills, Descriptions, and other information necessary to establish contact with the customer. As this information is made public for commercial purposes, UnTraducteur.com will in no way be responsible for protecting it and it will be considered to be the professional information of the persons registered.

Liability

UnTraducteur.com and/or its associated suppliers do not recognise any guarantee or condition relating to the services offered, including all implicit guarantees and conditions concerning suitability, aptitude for a particular use, ownership and non-infringement of the rights of third parties. UnTraducteur.com and/or its associated suppliers shall not be liable, for any reason whatsoever, for any special, indirect or consequential damages or any other damages of any kind whatsoever resulting from loss of rights of use, loss of information or loss of profit, whether arising from performance of contract, negligence or other tortuous actions arising out of or in any way connected with the services of UnTraducteur.com.
